CLEANING HACKS! - HOW TO REMOVE MARKER STAIN FROM WALLS
1. Using a dry-erase (non-permanent) marker
- write over the existing stain (using same color)
- use a dry cloth to rub the stain gently
- repeat a few times to totally remove the marks
2. Using a tooth paste
- use a dry cloth to spread a small amount of white toothpaste over the stain (do not use gel toothpaste)
- leave it for 10 minutes
- scrub the stain using a dry cloth
- wipe away the toothpaste with a damp cloth
- the mark should be gone
3. Using a scotch-brite sponge (green abrasive side) & baking soda
- wet the sponge and place a small amount of baking soda on it
- rub the baking soda in circular motion
- rinse the sponge and repeat until the mark is completely gone
4. Using alcohol based toiletries
- use hand sanitizer or nail polish remover
- pour a small amount onto an unwanted cloth
- blot the stain (check if any paint is coming off from the wall, if so, stop immediately)
- if the paint is not affected, try scrubbing in circular motion
- clean the area with soap and water after the stain is removed
5. Using WD-40
- spray a small amount of WD-40 onto the stain (be sure to put a cloth on the wall below the stain to prevent drips staining other parts of the wall
- try scrubbing in circular motion
- clean the area with soap and water after the stain is removed
6. Using melamine sponge (magic sponge)
- wet the sponge
- scrub the stain with the sponge in circular motion
- rinse the sponge and repeat until the mark is completely gone
- clean the area with soap and water after the stain is removed
